About

About Ronit Senior, LMHC

Therapist. Wife. Mother. And someone who believes deeply in our capacity to grow.

I came to therapy as a second career, bringing with me years of professional experience, and more importantly, the experiences of living a full and sometimes complicated life.

I've learned that people and relationships rarely fit into simple categories. There is usually more than one perspective, more happening beneath the surface, and more possibility for change than we can see when we're feeling stuck.

My Path Here Wasn't a Straight Line

Before becoming a therapist, I studied computer science and spent years working in technology and business. My work took me into different environments, introduced me to people from many backgrounds, and taught me how differently two people can experience the very same situation.

My life outside of work has shaped me just as much. I'm a wife and a mother. I've relocated, adapted to new environments, navigated different cultures and communities, and experienced my own priorities and beliefs evolve over time.

Eventually, I realized that the part of my experiences that mattered most to me was always the human part - understanding people, what they're experiencing, and what might help them move forward. That realization led me back to school and eventually to becoming a therapist.

I don't assume my experiences mean I know yours. Your story is your own. But they have taught me to approach people's lives with curiosity, humility, and an appreciation for how complicated being human can sometimes be.

What It Feels Like to Work With Me

Conversational

I'll listen carefully - and I'll also ask questions, share what I notice, and offer another perspective when it may be helpful.

Collaborative

We work through it together. You don't need to have everything figured out before we start.

Engaged

I'm genuinely present - not a blank wall, but someone who is actively thinking and responding to you.

Human

I may gently challenge you at times, and when the moment allows, there will probably be some humor too.
